Good day,

Got out of work to the sound of Sever T-storm Watch issued till 10:00P.M. Eastern STandard time.

Went home looked radar over real quick, Then Went to Put the Video Camera back in the car and clean it out (Man it was messy thanks to my lunches)

Headed to the Steuben LaGrange County line Where I caught a Awsome Shelf cloud with lots of Lightning.

When the Shelf cloud passed Rain Picked up to estimated 50 to 55 MPH.

City of Angola got slammed by this storm At approximately 5:30 P.M. with several Trees down, as well as power lines.

BAck to report, Heavy rain Flash Flooding and strong windsin the storm.

REceived a phone call from Kurt Hulst From Midwest chasers Stating that he was about three miles north of the Indiana Michigan state line.

I then Proceeded east To meet up with Kurt. Met with him in Ohio and the two of us chased to Delta Ohio where we stopped for a few minutes then headed back to Angola Indiana arrived back in town at about 8:40 P.M. Local stopped at Burger King for a bite to eat Kurt then headed back to Michigan, and I headed home because I had to be at work eairly.

Sweet!!!!!

Was sitting at home working on a Computer when Tornado warning Alert went off for The County just south of me.

I jumped in the car and headed south Via Interstate 69 To Indiana State road 6 where looking off to the East I could tell with the intense lightning that something was trying to Fire up.

Headed East on Highway 6 Hit heave rain Just west of Butler Indiana with Visibility less than 1/4 mile.

Second REport made of 6 inches of water accross the Road in Butler.

final report came a few moments later when I observed a Man hole Cover that had been removed from  the hole to where one side of it was sticking up about 3 inches from the road. That report I had to Foward onto the County 911 center because My Net Control station could not take that information on for me.

I ended up in Edgerton Ohio (I Have no Idea when I even Entered the state of Ohio BEcause I did not see the signs) The Warnings were shortly afterward cancled, and I stated the return Trip home.

No Offical REports of Touchdowns, however the City of Fort Wayne Reported Several Funnel Clouds.

Sever weather WOO HOO, I never thought I would see something this year.

OUr weather paterns have been so screwed up this year it isn't even funny.

Got out of work and went home to look over radar. WEather alerts went off for Branch County Michigan, so I headed about 10 miles north and stopped. the time was only 4 P.M. So I took the chance because it was still eairly in the day and stayed home to see if something else would develop.

The rest is a bust, soem heavy rain, a lightning strick right beside my car Almost made me change my pants.

other than that, not a thing happened

  • Mood: wow

Wow, This is the eairlest I have ever thought about a small chase.

Went South west of Chicago, Ill. To try and get some lightning pictures. FHeavy Fog at home had the Toll road shut down because of a major accident involving over 20 vehicles.

Met up with Kurt Hulst, From Midwest chasers.com near the indiana, Ill. State line and Proceeded into Ill.  We started with lots of lightning, however By time we arrived at the storm, Not much was presant.

Even though we did not get any good lightning, It was good fellow ship, and it showed what we still had to work on.

Take care all, God bless,

David
